The Sports Complex, named RABINA, is derived from the first two letters of my elder son Ravik, the younger son Rajit, and the last four letters of my wife’s name. It represents the collective dream of our family. Growing up in a small village, I was always passionate about playing various seasonal games, including football, kabaddi, long jump, high jump, running races, hiding games, swimming, and badminton. Despite my father’s initial disapproval due to concerns about injuries, my love for games persisted. I played Air Force-level football and cricket, advocating for the importance of sports. I wanted my two sons to follow their chosen sports paths. My elder son excelled in Squash, becoming the runner-up in the 2023 Karnataka State Squash Tournament and participating in tournaments across India. Meanwhile, my younger son has been dedicated to cricket since childhood, representing the U-14 Karnataka cricket team in 2022. The challenge of finding suitable facilities for my elder son’s Squash training led to the realization of my dream – the opening of the RABINA Sports Complex, providing a space for their practice and fulfilling my long-standing vision.
